The Waterside Shopping Centre is undergoing a £9.3m redevelopment. Keen to let shoppers know that it is business as usual, the centre asked us to come up with a talking point and reason to visit.
So, what did we do?
We turned a 20 by nine metre hoarding into a 3D work of art to launch a photographic competition.
Lincoln snappers have to capture an iconic image of the city, with all of the entries being displayed in the shopping centre.
To launch the competition we teamed up with Lincoln Cathedral and arranged to capture one of the most stunning images associated with Lincoln – the view of the organ from the nave.
The giant billboard has only been in place for a few weeks and so far, the media coverage we generated from its installation, has maintained footfall and created lots of engagement on the Waterside’s social media platforms as well as more than 30 entries to the photographic competition – so we’re all smiling!
